Hunter I-Core 6 Station Controller

Hunter’s I-Core Controller is the best choice for any demanding commercial or residential application. With all its revolutionary features such as, state of the art flow monitoring, quick system overview access, six language capability and the factory-installed SmartPort®. It’s versatility is unmatched with its expandability. The plastic cabinet model can expand from 6 to 30 stations. With the addition of the DUAL® two-wire module, you can expand to 48 stations.  The possibilities are endless with optional add-ons like a ROAM or ROAM XL remote and the built-in conservation-focused Solar-Sync®.

Real Time Flow Monitoring

Connection to a flow meter recognizes high or low flow conditions then automatically reacts to alarms.  As the controller learns the typical flow for each zone it then monitors performance during automatic irrigation. If an incorrect flow is detected the controller can identify the faulty station and shutdown just that station. Used with a normally-closed master valve. The alarm parameters are user-programmable and the controller memory stores flow totals to report system water usage.

Easy Retrieve™ Memory

Saves and stores your controller schedule and setup information in back-up memory allowing the saved schedule to be restored at any time.

One Touch Manual Start and Advance

Manually start/test any station by simply pressing and holding the right arrow button and adding a run time to the station of choice.

Programable Rain Delay

Prevent watering during extended periods of inclement weather by allowing the user to set the controller to the OFF mode, for any specified number of days, then resumes the watering schedule automatically.  The controller will display the number of days remaining before watering resumes.

Quick Check™

The controller displays an ERR message if a short is detected on a particular station and is easily assessed with the push of a button.

Non-Volatile Memory

Offers protection against unreliable power, retaining current time, date, and program data.

Automatic Short Circuit Protection

All Hunter AC powered controllers feature Automatic Short Circuit Protection.  This avoids total system shutdown by detecting electrical faults, and only shutting down the affected station allowing the other stations to water as programmed.

Seasonal Adjustment: Global, Monthly and Solar Sync for I-CORE

The Seasonal Adjustment feature makes adjustments to your irrigation run times fast and easy. Using a percentage scale you would set your peak season to 100% then when conditions require less water you simply adjust the percentage (i.e. 50%) to reduce the run times, without having to adjust each station in the program. The I-Core offers three different ways to use Seasonal Adjustment to reduce water usage:

  • Global: Provides a seasonal adjustment value to all selected programs.
  • Monthly: Allows users to program a seasonal adjustment value for each month of the year. This is exclusively available on the I-Core, and works by automatically changing programmed seasonal adjustment value on the first day of every month.
  • Solar Sync: When connected to the I-Core, the Solar Sync ET sensor implements an automatic daily adjustment based on measured local weather.

Delay Between Stations for I-CORE and Acc

Allows the user to program a delay between the stations as the controller advances through the program.  This can be a short, few second delay (to allow for slow-closing valves) or a longer period of time (giving pressure tanks time to recharge). In ACC and I-Core, Delay Between Stations may be set by individual program.

Sensor Programmability for I-CORE

Allows the user to specify which program or stations will be shut down in response to a specific sensor alarm. Any stations or programs unaffected by the sensor will continue automatic operations.

Cycle and Soak

This water-saving feature allows the operator to specify a maximum cycle time for each single station in hours, minutes, or seconds, followed by a minimum soak time, to prevent runoff from slopes or saturated soil. The operator can enter any run time, and the controller will automatically divide it into cycles to allow the water to be absorbed during the soak periods. The feature is adjustable for each individual station for unique soil and site conditions.

No Water Window

Can be used to comply with local watering restrictions or to prevent conflicts with pedestrian traffic. User selects periods of time during which the controller will not allow automatic irrigation. This setting does not affect manual watering options for local maintenance.

Non-Water Days

Day(s) of the week can be programmed OFF in advance, so that irrigation does not occur regardless of program interval schedules. For example, if the gardener mows the lawn on Saturday, the Non-Water Days feature allows Saturday to be programmed OFF, so that watering will not occur.

Solar Sync™ Delay

Allows you to specify a number of days before automatic weather adjustments begin. This allows a period of non-adjusted irrigation for plant establishment purposes, without requiring a return visit to the site to enable the Solar Sync water-saving feature.

Multi Language Programming

I-Core can be programmed in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Portuguese.

Total Run Time Calculator

Simultaneous Station Groups allow for groups of stations to run together within a program. This permits consolidation of large systems into fewer items to program and can be used to control system flow in high capacity installations.
