Watering Schedule
The following chart will offer some recommendations as to the length of time that your drip or micro sprinkler system should run. The run times given in this chart are estimates only and should not be used as a final rule. There are many factors that will influence the actual run time for your system. Use these numbers as a starting point and make gradual changes to suit your conditions. If you wish to use a more exact method, skip this watering schedule and go to "Calculating Water requirements" which will give you formulas to calculate indiviual plant requirements.
To begin, choose a run time from the chart. After two or three irrigation cycles, remove a small amount of top soil near a few of the drippers and observe the underlying dirt. Make sure that it is not too wet nor too dry, and that the plants appear healthy. If there is too much water, decrease the watering time; if too dry or if the wet area is too shallow, increase the watering time. Dripper Watering Schedule
