Starting Your Drip System

Starting a drip system requeires a few components such as backflow preventer, filter, pressure regulator, swivel adaptor and battery operated controller. The actual parts you need will depend on the type of source you are hooking up to (faucet, anti-siphon valve or PVC pipe). The following diagrams give a visual indication of how each type of system is assembled.

  • Starting a drip system from a faucet using a backflow preventer, filter, pressure regulator, swivel adaptor and battery operated controller.

    Drip installation to a faucet:
    1. Backflow preventer, Filter, Pressure regulator with Female Host Thread (FHT), Swivel adapter w/screen
    2. Battery operated controller, Fertilizer applicator/filter with backflow preventer, Pressure regulator with Female Pipe Thread (FPT), Drip adapter
