Drip Depot gravity feed drip irrigation kits are specially designed to operate from a non-pressurized water source such as a cistern or bucket. Drip irrigation systems that operate from a non-pressurized water source represent a unique problem; "how do you maintain regulated flow rates with a non pressurized system", the answer is, you don't, at least not easily. Also, non-pressurized systems are many times associated with a water source that can contain small debris that can clog the tiny orifices that are found in traditional drip emitters. The Drip Depot gravity feed drip irrigation kits solve these problems by eliminating altogether the drip emitter and filter and instead using independent 1/4" valves at each watering point for manual adjustment of flow. By using valves instead of drip emitters, the issue of clogging emitters is completely solved and the system becomes infinitely flexible. If you have a clean water source you can use drip emitters (use non-pressure compensating only) with these systems and mix-and-match your valves and emitters. Drip emitters are sold separately.
